ABOUT ME
My name is Sára Káňová and I am an interior designer who believes that a space should reflect your lifestyle, needs and dreams.
In my work, I combine detailed design knowledge with an intuition for elegance and functionality to create an environment that lives with the rhythm of your life. My relationship with design began in elementary art school. Although I originally studied piano, I was soon drawn to visual art, which allowed me to better express my creativity.
Later, I studied at the Secondary School of Art and Design in Brno and then at Mendel University, where I specialized in furniture design. My studies provided me with a solid foundation in technologies, materials and aesthetics, which I now combine with innovative approaches to design.
During my studies, I won awards, such as the National Student Design Award for my design of a children’s cradle that connects generations.
This project was recognized for its practicality, ecological approach and timeless aesthetics. I also transfer similar values to interior design – always looking for a balance between beauty, functionality and sustainability.
I find inspiration in everyday life, travel and observing the world around me.
I enjoy drawing on different cultures, materials and sensory perceptions that can breathe soul into spaces. During the implementation, I collaborate with proven experts to ensure the highest quality and timelessness of each design.
I specialize in interior design from single-family homes to public spaces, including hair salons and barbershops. I start each project by listening to my clients, understanding their needs and lifestyle.
In my work, I emphasize clean lines, natural materials such as wood, and creating spaces that respect you and your space.
